HealthDirect – After Hours GP Helpline

When you call the after hours GP helpline, a registered nurse will assess you and based on your symptoms, the nurse may offer you a phone call or a video call from a GP. The GP will contact you within 15 minutes or 1 hour depending on the urgency of your health issue and the post code you are calling from.
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is an Australia-wide scheme for people with disability, including psychosocial disability. This support can provide assistance needed for a person to enjoy an ordinary life and to achieve their individual goals. Goals may include independence, community involvement, education, employment, and health and wellbeing.

There is no shame in yarning about our mental health. If you have a lot of worries, feel sad, stressed, or have jumbled thoughts – it can help to have a yarn with family, someone you trust or an Aboriginal Health Worker at the local clinic. Find resources on the WellMob website on ways to support mental health.
